Project Brief:
This project was delivered in collaboration with Scottish Enterprise as part of their SCOTLAND CAN DO Offshore Wind funding call. Build the Reef Ltd focused on advancing research into plastic-free rope that could outperform all other sustainable options currently available.

The aim was to explore whether a rope could be developed to compete with polypropylene, which is widely used in offshore applications. Since polypropylene is strong and longer-lasting than natural fibre ropes, Build the Reef Ltd sought to create a plastic-free alternative capable of matching its performance.
